and so it begins…
I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a long time, but for years I didn’t feel like I had enough to say.
Fast forward to now, and I finally feel ready.
My name is Lydia, I’m 27 years old, and this is my story.
Over the last five years, I’ve built a life that I used to dream of when I was a kid. I’ve travelled to Australia, lived on tropical islands, spent a full winter season working at a ski resort in Canada, and even built and travelled in a self-converted bus.
I always knew that travel would be at the forefront of my life — but what I didn’t expect was how much it would change the way I move through the world. In my travels I have found meditation, yoga, and movement as medicine. These practices have become anchors, helping me stay grounded no matter where I am.
I believe a meaningful life isn’t one-size-fits-all. Whether your dream looks like travel, wellness, mindfulness, or simply living with more intention, I want to help you create a life that feels aligned with who you truly are.
This is why I finally started The Intended Journey.
While this is post number one, you can expect posts about travel – guides, vanlife, stories & reflections, mindfulness – yoga, movement, meditation, and living intentionally – knowing that life is about the journey, not the destination.
If you’re here, welcome – I’m really glad you found your way.
Sending love,
Lydia
